TradeForge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TradeForge mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
TradeForge stores all personal data locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts or databases. The information stored includes:
- Your name, trade, company name, and ZIP code (entered during onboarding)
- Job records, client details, estimates, and notes you create in the app
- App settings and preferences
2. AI Features
TradeForge uses an AI assistant powered by Anthropic Claude. When you use AI features (diagnostics, code lookup, parts finder, safety check), your text queries are sent to our secure proxy server and then to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not store these queries after processing.
Photos you attach to jobs are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your precise location
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
- We do not have access to the data stored on your device
4. Third-Party Services
TradeForge uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic — AI processing for chat and diagnostic features. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — Secure API proxy infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Expo / React Native — App runtime and crash reporting.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
All your data lives on your device. You can delete all data at any time by tapping Profile → Reset App & Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
6. Children's Privacy
TradeForge is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
